1) The Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Pleyr's website and other services (collectively, “Services”) provided by AthletiFi Sport, Inc (“Pleyr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree to these Terms, you cannot use our Services. If you are under 18, you confirm your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.
Short version: Ask a parent/guardian to read this if you're under 18.
2) Who can use Pleyr (Age & Accounts)
- Minimum age: You must be 13 or older to have a Pleyr account. We don't knowingly allow under‑13 users to register.
- Teens (13‑17): You can use Pleyr with your parent/guardian's permission. We may require parent/guardian authorization for certain features.
- Team verification: We may ask you to complete a verification process (e.g., provide accurate team/league info and a photo of you in your team jersey). This keeps team spaces safe and authentic.
- Account security: Keep your password private and your information accurate. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us right away at support@pleyr.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
Short version: 13+ only. Get permission from a parent/guardian. Keep your login safe. Team spaces are verified.
3) What Pleyr is (and what you can do)
Pleyr is a youth‑sports platform with:
- a Team Video Vault for full‑game uploads (often by parents/staff) so players can clip and share highlights;
- a player card builder and collection (trading‑card‑style);
- a player‑first public feed (only players post publicly; parents/staff interact in team/private spaces);
- a Game Log for reflections that showcase character and resilience;
- chat (1:1, group, team channel) with youth‑safety controls;
- gamification (streaks, badges, unlockable rewards) to encourage positive, consistent engagement.
4) Your content & our license (UGC)
- You own your content. You (and your parent/guardian, if you're a minor) keep ownership of videos, photos, stats, posts, designs, and other content you upload or create (“UGC”).
- Our license to operate the Service. You grant AthletiFi a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (e.g., create clips, thumbnails, transcoded versions), display, perform, and distribute your UGC only to run and improve Pleyr, to show it to audiences you choose (e.g., team, followers, public), and to promote Pleyr (for example, using your publicly posted card in an in‑app carousel). This license ends when you delete the UGC or your account, except where: (i) others already copied, collected, or shared it; or (ii) we keep copies for reasonable backup, archival, or legal purposes.
- Rights you promise you have. Upload only content you have the right to share. If your video shows other minors, get consent from their parent/guardian where required by law, your team/league rules, or school policy.
- Downloads & re‑shares. Vault items can be share‑restricted by the uploader/team; public posts may be viewed, embedded, or shared by others. Downloads you allow may travel beyond Pleyr.
- Feedback. Ideas or suggestions you send may be used without obligation to you.
Short version: You own your stuff. We need limited rights to operate Pleyr. Share only what you're allowed to share.
5) Safety rules & community conduct
Pleyr is a youth community. You agree not to:
- bully, harass, threaten, dox, or impersonate others;
- post illegal content; nudity/sexualized or exploitative content; hate or violent content; medical misinformation or dangerous challenges;
- post someone's private info without permission;
- spam, scam, or advertise without permission;
- attempt to bypass safety features, scrape data, or reverse‑engineer the Service.
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend/terminate accounts that break these rules or applicable laws. Use the report tools or email safety@pleyr.com if something feels off.
Short version: Be kind. Be safe. Don't post harmful or illegal stuff.
6) Special rules for teams, parents & coaches
- Team Video Vault. Parents and staff often upload full games “for the team.” If you upload, you confirm you have the right to upload and to share with the rest of the team.
- Players' public posts. Only player accounts can post publicly to the athlete feed. Parents/staff can still upload to the Vault and participate in team/private spaces.
- Coach tools. Coaches may attach time‑stamped comments to Vault video and share with the roster.
- Takedowns. If your child appears in content and you want it removed, contact safety@pleyr.com with the link; we'll review quickly and act as appropriate.
Short version: Team spaces are private by default. Public posting is player‑led. We'll help with takedowns involving minors.
7) AI, stats, and rankings (disclaimers)
Pleyr may use automated tools to generate clips, stats, labels, or insights (e.g., possession counts, xG, speed bursts) and may display streaks/badges. These are informational only, may be wrong, and aren't coaching, medical, or academic advice. Don't rely on them for safety‑critical decisions.
Short version: Cool insights — just not perfect.
9) Buying things on Pleyr (payments, plans & refunds)
- Free Services. Many features are free, including account creation, basic profile features, team connectivity, and content sharing. Free accounts may include advertising and have usage limits.
- Premium Subscriptions. We offer premium plans for individuals/families and teams/clubs. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions auto‑renew until you cancel in your account or app store settings before the next billing period. Prices may change with notice; taxes/fees may apply.
- Refunds. We follow your platform's rules (Apple/Google) and our posted refund policy. Where required by law, additional rights may apply.
- Physical products. Custom items (e.g., printed/NFC player cards) are generally non‑returnable once produced, except for defects or where required by law.
- Fundraising tools. If you use Pleyr's fundraising features, you must follow applicable laws and your school/club rules. We may use third‑party payment providers; their terms apply.
Short version: Know how renewal, cancellation, and refunds work before you buy.
10) Third‑party services & links
The Service may link to or integrate with third‑party tools (e.g., cloud storage, analytics, payment processors, or smart cameras). Their own terms and privacy policies apply. We're not responsible for their content or practices.
Short version: Outside links/tools have their own rules.
11) Intellectual property (ours)
Except for your UGC, the Service—software, design, logos, and content—is owned by AthletiFi or our licensors and protected by law. You're granted a limited, personal, non‑transferable, revocable license to use Pleyr as permitted by these Terms. Don't copy, modify, host, sell, or distribute our code, designs, or trademarks without permission.
Short version: Please don't copy our app or branding.
12) Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe content on Pleyr infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to our Agent (details above), including all elements required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3). We may remove content and, for repeat infringement, terminate accounts.
Short version: We respond to copyright notices.
13) Important legal stuff (disclaimers & limits)
- No medical/coach guarantees. Athletic activities carry risk. Talk to a doctor/coach before training.
- Service “as is.” We provide Pleyr as is and as available without warranties, to the extent permitted by law.
- Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent allowed, AthletiFi won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) $100. Some places don't allow limits like this; if so, those limits apply to the maximum allowed there.
Short version: Use Pleyr responsibly. Our legal responsibility is limited.
14) Your promises & indemnity
You promise to follow these Terms and the law. If permitted by law, you (and your parent/guardian, if you're a minor) agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AthletiFi and our partners against claims arising from your use of Pleyr or your UGC.
15) Ending or changing the Service
We can change or discontinue features, or suspend/terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the law. You can delete your account anytime in settings. Some copies of your UGC may persist in backups or where others already saved or re‑shared it.
Short version: You can leave; we can remove harmful content or accounts.
16) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we'll provide advance notice (at least 30 days when feasible) in the app or by email. If required, we'll obtain new consent (from you or your parent/guardian). The Effective Date shows when changes start.
Short version: We'll tell you when the rules change.
17) Resolving disputes
Talk to us first. Before filing a claim, email legal@pleyr.com and we'll try to resolve it informally as soon as possible.
Arbitration & class‑action waiver (U.S. users, except where prohibited). Except for small‑claims court or injunctive relief for misuse of IP/safety threats, disputes will be settled by binding arbitration under the AAA Consumer Rules. No class actions—only individual claims. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@pleyr.com within 90 days of creating your account, with your name, username, and a statement that you opt out.
EEA/UK & where arbitration/class waivers aren't allowed. You retain your statutory rights and can bring claims in your local courts.
Short version: We'll try to work it out first. U.S. users arbitrate unless you opt out; others use local courts if required.
18) Governing law & venue
Except where your local consumer laws require otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, U.S.A., without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules. Venue for any court‑permitted claims is the state or federal courts located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Short version: Local consumer laws still protect you; otherwise, Pennsylvania law applies and courts are in Philadelphia.

Feature‑specific notes (how these Terms apply to Pleyr's tools)
- Player Cards & Collection. Card art you design is your UGC. Public cards can be collected/followed by others. You can make your card private or team‑only.
- Team Video Vault. Games uploaded to the team space are private by default; you control re‑use when you make a clip for your feed. Respect school/league filming rules and other families' wishes.
- Game Log (Reflections). Reflections may unlock badges and appear on your profile depending on your privacy settings.
- Chat. Player‑to‑player chat requires accepted connections; parents can message other parents on the team; coaches can post time‑stamped notes from film. Use block and report tools if needed.
- Gamification. Streaks/badges/rewards are cosmetic; they don't represent official rankings or scholarships.
By using Pleyr, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
